Quantitative metrics for SHG imaging of collagen-based biological structures

Abstract

We present the application of 3D Fourier transform-second harmonic generation (3D FT-SHG) imaging to evaluate the spatial organization of collagen fibers in biological tissues. Using 3D FT-SHG, we quantified the lamellar structure in porcine sclera.
