Sol–gel silica planar waveguide doped with a green fluorescent protein for biophotonic sensor network

Abstract

We report the real-time detection of an organophosphorus compound due to change of green fluorescence from a sol–gel silica planar waveguide doped directly with a green fluorescent protein, which is pumped by 488nm laser light.
