Abstract

We investigated the effect of ultrashort pulses on the excitation of MPM signals. Using an ultrafast Ti:sapphire laser source, we adjusted the pulsewidth from ~80 fs to ~15 fs when we increased the pulse bandwidth from 10 nm to 100 nm. A 2-fold increase in TPEF and a 4-fold increase in SHG signals are observed.
