Noise pulses’ statistics in CW ytterbium-doped fiber laser and its effect on self-phase modulation

Abstract

We report an experimental study of photon noise in a CW double-clad pumped YDFL with Fabry-Perot cavity. Photon noise statistics and its impact on laser line broadening via self-phase modulation are discussed.
