Abstract

We demonstrate a methodology to obtain real-time gyroscopic measurements with an angular velocity resolution of 125 μrad/sec using an bi-directional mode-locked fibre laser operating in the frequency synchronized regime via Dispersive Fourier Transform (DFT)-based real-time spectral measurements.
