Observation of 2D Semiconductor Dark Exciton Lifetime Using Two-photon Ultrafast Spectroscopy

Abstract

Using two-photon pump-probe on MoS2 we excite directly dark-excitons and probe bright-excitonic population with femtosecond resolution. Non-monotonic density changes in bright-exciton population determine directly dark-exciton lifetime in monolayers.
