Opto-Mechanical Interactions in Nanoparticles with Magnetic Light

Abstract

We show that gold and silicon nanoparticles with a cut support highly co-localised optical magnetic dipole and mechanical modes, enabling strong opto-mechanical interactions providing up to 10% optical scattering modulation by mechanical vibrations.
