Dynamical Centrosymmetry Breaking and Second-Harmonic Generation in Graphene

Abstract

A set of equations is proposed as a suitable model to understand nonlinear light-matter interactions in monolayer graphene with pulsed light. At normal incidence, these equations predict second-harmonic generation by encapsulating a novel mechanism of centrosymmetry breaking.
