Cherenkov-radiation-induced binding of temporal cavity solitons observed in a passive fiber ring resonator

Abstract

We resolve in real-time the dynamics of bound states of temporal cavity solitons in a low-dispersion passive driven nonlinear resonator. The solitons are found to be bound by Cherenkov-like dispersive waves.
