Performance Comparison of Kerr Nonlinear Plasmonic Waveguide Configurations

Abstract

We compare the Kerr nonlinear performance of plasmonic waveguide configurations using a Figure-of-Merit which balances nonlinear effect with loss, while avoiding optical damage. We find that the optimal configuration depends on the waveguide length.
