Spontaneous Generation of Spectral Incoherent Solitons through Supercontinuum Generation

Abstract

We study experimentally the highly nonlinear regime of supercontinuum generation in photonic crystal fibers. We report a transition from continuous to discrete spectral incoherent solitons in the low-frequency edge of the supercontinuum spectrum.
