Stability analysis of nonlinear localized modes at the phase-slip defect in one dimensional waveguide array

Abstract

We investigate the existence and stability of nonlinear localized modes in one-dimensional waveguide array with the defect placed inside using the variational approximation. The results are compared with the results of numerical simulations.
