Abstract

We report the fabrication of rib waveguides in As-S(-Se) glasses by hot embossing. Optical losses between 0.24dB/cm in As24S38Se38 and 0.5dB/cm in AssS3 were obtained with nonlinear parameters as high as ≈9W−1m−1.
