Efficient frequency up-conversion of Broad Area Laser diode

Abstract

Direct frequency up-conversion of an 808 nm BAL with build-in grating feedback for spectral narrowing is experimentally demonstrated. The BAL to blue light efficiency exceeds 10 % when mixed with a 1064 nm laser.
