All-Fiber Ultrafast Second-Order Differentiator based on a Single Uniform Long-Period Fiber Grating

Abstract

We report the first experimental demonstration of an all-fiber higher-order optical differentiator. It is based on a single long-period fiber grating and allows processing of arbitrary waveforms with sub-picosecond time features.
