HPCVD of ZnSxSe1–x Claddings for ZnSe Optical Fibers

Abstract

HPCVD ZnSe optical fibers support hundreds to thousands of modes because they lack an appropriate cladding layer. Here, we demonstrate HPCVD deposited ZnSxSe1–x claddings to tune the number of supported modes.
