Comparison of Second Hyperpolarizability in liquid and gas phases of Carbon Disulfide

Abstract

Using nonlinear beam deflection, a highly sensitive method for time-resolved measurement of nonlinear refraction, we directly measure the second hyperpolarizability in the gas phase of CS2 without the need for local field correction.
