Design Impact on Optical Absorption of the Graphene Coated Silicon Wire Waveguides

Abstract

We observe reversals of the dominantly absorbed mode with thickness and width variation of graphene coated silicon wire waveguides using a self-developed numerical method. Quantitative and qualitative explanations of our findings are also presented.
