Abstract

We report the high-quality narrowband biphoton generation from a Doppler-broadened hot rubidium atomic vapor. Utilizing optimized energy scheme for both spontaneous four-wave mixing and electromagnetically induced transparency, we achieve a spectral brightness of 14,000 s−1MHz−1.
