Generation of sub-50 fs pulses from a parabolic amplifier operated beyond gain bandwidth limit

Abstract

The generation of 48 fs pulses from a pre -chirping managed amplifier at 147-W is demonstrated. A scheme is introduced to show the compensation between nonlinear spectral phase and third-order dispersion beyond gain bandwidth.
