Stability of vortices and spiraling waves in non-equilibrium polariton condensates

Abstract

We study non-equilibrium dynamics of phase dislocations and vortices in the vicinity of modulational instability of an incoherently pumped polariton condensate. In particular we discuss the mechanism of vortex destabilization and formation of spiraling waves.
