Abstract

Using numerical analysis under pump depletion, we demonstrate that adiabatic energy transfer in step-chirp quasi-phase-matching (QPM) devices could lead to up-conversion processes with efficiency and spectral coverage depending on the interaction direction with respect to the chirp direction. This analysis agrees with experimental observation of simultaneous multi-wavelength QPM-second harmonic and sum-frequency generation of green comb lines.
