Partially Coherent Kerr Frequency Combs

Abstract

Chaotic and partially coherent microresonator-based parametric frequency combs are studied theoretically. It is shown that frequency filtering of the combs results in formation of high contrast optical pulses. The result explains earlier experimental observations.
