Fingerprinting of Si Surface Bonds Using Nonresonant Optical Second-Harmonic Generation

Abstract

Optical fingerprinting of surface bonds by nonresonant, but rotationally anisotropic, second-harmonic generation (RA-SHG) is achieved by identifying suitable experimental geometries using a bond charge model and accurate knowledge of bond axis orientation.
