Infrared single-photon frequency upconversion detection pumped by synchronous fiber lasers

Abstract

Infrared single photons at 1.55 μm from an Er-fiber laser were frequency up-converted to the visible region by a synchronized Yb-fiber laser pump beam in a PPLN crystal. The maximum conversion efficiency was reached 31.2%.
