Plasmonics Self-Focusing by Nonlocal Ponderomotive Nonlinearity in Metals

Abstract

The inherent ponderomotive nonlinearity in of electrons in metal depleting the electron density in high-field intensity region is harnessed to show nonlinear propagation of Surface plamons, self-focusing and slow light near a nonlinear cutoff.
