Discrete Spatial Surface Solitons at the Interface Between Dissimilar Arrays

Abstract

We have observed surface solitons guided by the interface between two dissimilar arrays of weakly coupled AlGaAs waveguides. Only one interface soliton was observed, different from the soliton families found between discrete and continuous media.
