Advances In Femtosecond Fiber Lasers

Abstract

A new pulse-shaping process enables the construction of the first femtosecond lasers that do not require intracavity dispersion control. These lasers generate pulses with energies 10-20 nJ, comparable to the performance of solid-state lasers.
