Quasi-Phase-Matching with Simultaneously Electronic and Magnetic Nonlinear Response in Metamaterials

Abstract

Condition of quasi-phase matching of parametric processes is investigated in multilayer metamaterials consisting of nonlinear positive-index and negative-index medium. The positive component has nonlinear electronic response, whereas the negative component has nonlinear magnetic response.
