Femtosecond Optical Precursors in Exciton Resonant Region

Abstract

We performed propagation experiments of 150-fs optical pulses at the exciton resonance in CuCl. We observed several types of optical precursors corresponding to the Sommerfeld, the Brillouin, and the exciton precursors.
