Abstract

Cubic-phase distortions of femtosecond pulses induced by the GVD mismatch between a linearly-chirped fiber grating stretcher and a diffraction-grating compressor have been compensated for 300 ps stretched pulses by using nonlinear-chirp-period electric-field poled LiNbO3. Recompressed 450 fs pulses at 778 nm have been obtained.
