Diffraction efficiency improvement of surface relief grating by corona poling

Abstract

A depth of surface relief gratings which is fabricated by the irradiation of laser interference fringes in azo-polymer films are improved by poling. The first-order diffraction efficiency is improved from 1.1% to 7.1 %.
