Extreme Mid-Infrared Nonlinear Optics in Semiconductors

Abstract

We have made the first observation, to our knowledge, of multiple off-resonance optical sidebands, multiple mid-infrared harmonics, and harmonic-continuum generation in semiconductors in the presence of intense mid-infrared laser fields.
