Reduction of the Impact of Group Delay Ripples in 10-Gb/s NRZ Grating-Compensated Dispersion-Managed fiber System Using Nonlinear Optical Loop-Mirrors

Abstract

We investigate the re-amplification and reshaping using nonlinear optical loop- mirrors in a 10-Gb/s non-return-to-zero grating-compensated dispersion-managed transmission line with standard fibers. A large improvement of the system performance is achieved.
