Soliton Self-Reflection At A Quadratically Nonlinear Interface

Abstract

The reflection of quadratic spatial solitons by a QPM engineered, quadratically nonlinear interface was observed for the first time. The reflection occurred at small incidence angles and higher intensities while for the low input beam intensities the beam passed through the interface.
