Collision-induced polarization scattering in dispersion managed fiber systems

Abstract

We numerically study the depolarization caused by collisions of dispersion-managed vector solitons. Using a multiscale expansion of coupled Nonlinear Schrödinger equations we present an analytical model to describe the polarization dynamics of colliding solitons.
