Abstract

Internal oscillations of (2+1) dimensional fundamental solitons in a saturable nonlinear medium is studied. Internal modes both with and without angular dependence are discovered. The effect of angle-dependent internal modes on the soliton visually appears as a rotation of the perturbed soliton.
