Instabilities of multicomponent spatial solitons in photorefractive media

Abstract

We investigate numerically the dynamics associated with the instabilities of multi- component spatial solitons in photorefractive media. The instabilities can lead to the formation of swinging structures, giving evidence of the oscillatory nature of the instabilities.
