Optical solitons in the femtosecond regime

Abstract

The evolution of optical solitons in the presence of amplification effects and nonlocal Raman response is investigated using peiturbational analysis. The analysis reveals the existence of a soliton which acts as a global attractor in certain regimes of the amplification parameters.
