Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the formation of (1+1)D and (2+l)D solitons in photorefractive CdZnTe:V, exploiting the intensity-resonant behavior of the space charge field. We show that the resonance intensity is tunable, allowing soliton formation times as low as 10μsec scales with very low optical power.
