Snake instability of the 2+1D spatio-temporal bright soliton stripe

Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally the snake instability of the bright soliton stripe in the 2+ID hyperbolic nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The instability is observed on a spatially extended femtosecond pulse propagating in a normally dispersive self-defocusing semiconductor planar waveguide.
