Light trapping in a non-uniform fiber grating by four-wave mixing

Abstract

We use an approach similar to Fermi’s golden rule to estimate the energy that is deposited by four-wave mixing in a bound states of a photonic well, formed in a non-uniform grating. Such structures could acts as simple optical memory elements.
