Stable dissipative solitons with competing non-instantaneous nonlinearities

Abstract

Near a supercritical bifurcation of continuous wave solutions the existence of both sub- and supercritically bifurcating solitons is predicted. Their excitation, switching, relaxation and critical slowing down has been experimentally verified.
