Abstract
The existence of localized, soliton-like excitations (cavity solitons) in the transverse crosssection of nonlinear optical systems has attracted a lot of attention in the last years [1, 2, 3] and experimental proof was given in an electro-optical system [4], dye lasers with saturable absorber [5] and sodium vapor [6].
