Abstract

Recently there has been considerable progress in the generation of ultrashort light pulses in the visible. Using wavelength-independent phase-matching in p-barium borate (BBO) [1] non-collinear optical parametric amplifiers (OPAs) in the visible with amplified bandwidths in excess of 100 THz and pulse durations well below 10 fs were demonstrated [2-4].
