Abstract
Breather ( specific N-soliton superpositions ) and dark solitons have use in fiber optics [1, 2, 3]. They look promising for information transmission as well. But though they are possessed of evident merits, there is the common drawback in their properties for available and potential applications: both breathers and dark solitons are subject to strong influence of the relaxation of the cubic nonlinearity that is usually referred to as the intrapulse Raman scattering.
