Abstract

This paper shows a comparison of the number of transponders including regenerators, cost and power consumption depending on transmission reach of the 400-Gb/s-based signal between the flexible-bitrate network using 100-Gb/s and 400-Gb/s signals and 100-Gb/s signal network.
