Contention Resolution within Colorless and Directionless ROADM

Abstract

A conventional colorless and directionless ROADM architecture is modified to achieve contention-free performance without relying on external transponders and OTN switches, and can achieve a smaller size and lower power consumption than those of a conventional CDC ROADM.
