Efficient Dynamic Wideband Model for Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier

Abstract

A computationally efficient, time-domain model for simulation of spatial-temporal distribution of photons and carriers in a bulk RSOA is presented. Saturation, noise, chirp and signal broadening are successfully predicted for NRZ and QPSK signals.
