Multi mode optical amplifiers with flexible wavelength and spatial channel count

Abstract

We investigate the capability of multi mode EDFAs to dynamically adapt to load scenarios with different wavelength and spatial channel count. Gain and noise figure values of channels could be equalized by pump power control.
